St. John’s is a lively community orientated church with a vibrant History (see history page). We have a deep desire to reach out into the Community by sharing the love of Jesus through our many community groups and outreach activities. Our heart is to work with people in our city who are marginalised and vulnerable offering a friendly place to come where a warm welcome is always waiting. We also like to use different genres of music in our outreach events.

We have a resident punk band Peter118, who from time to time invite bands from different cities and countries to join in our outreach events. St. John’s has a good working relationship with local agencies, Police and councillors.

St. John’s is very much a body ministry, Rev Lydia is supported by a leadership team and a team of Key workers who seek the Lord in His desires for St. John’s.

St. John’s is no longer an Anglican church but we are now Part of the New Testament Church of God and are one of 4 churches in the Stoke-on-Trent District.

St. John’s is Pastored by Rev. Lydia Palmer with the help of her husband Lee
Palmer. They have 3 Children and 4 Grandchildren. Lydia has always been a
part of St. John’s, she has attended with her parents since she was a baby and
through her progression and God’s calling on her life has held different
leadership positions until she passed her ministerial exams in 2013 through the
New Testament Church of God. Lydia and Lee work together for St. John’s with
Lee heading up the I.T work.
